Copy Text Formatting

To save time, you can copy formatting that you apply to text in one portion of your document to another portion of your document.

1. Select the text containing the formatting that you want to copy.

2. Click the Format Painter icon ().

   

   The mouse pointer () appears as an icon () when you move it over your document.

3. Select the text to which you want to assign formatting.

   The newly selected text changes to the format used for the original selection.

4. Click anywhere outside the selection to continue working.
