To make your text look more uniform, you can align text or numbers with the top, bottom, left, right, or center of cells.
By default, Word aligns table entries at the top left edge of each cell.
Position the mouse inside the left edge of the cell whose alignment you want to change ( changes to ) and drag to select the cell.
Click the Tables and Borders icon () to display the Tables and Borders toolbar.
Click the Align icon () and click the alignment you want to use.
Word aligns the text accordingly in the cell.
Click anywhere to cancel the selection.
Click the Close icon () to close the Tables and Borders toolbar.
