Using the Chapter's Source Code

The source code for the information covered in this chapter is contained on the CD in /Book Code/Chapter 08/Common . The information stored in this folder is the updated cScene class.

The folder contains the following files: cScene.h and cScene.cpp.

These files are the basic layer for developing a 3D rendering environment. The updated cScene class can now read in the scene from the file with rendering parameters as well as set up the local camera coordinate system. This updated cScene class, along with the previous classes, play an important role in the following chapters. The following chapters utilize all the information you've learned up until now to implement ray tracing and photon mapping. Be sure to review the source code before proceeding to the next chapter.
