Research Hypotheses

In this industrial experience, the research hypotheses are phrased in terms of business goals for introducing XP. Achieving the goals or not is equivalent to proving or disproving the research hypotheses.

The organization's goals were as follows:

• Goal 1: Make the development team more responsive to business needs and pressures by delivering software and features requested by business users.

• Goal 2: Increase the speed at which releases occur, and reduce the error rate in released versions.

• Goal 3: Improve the development cycle flow by increasing communications, clarifying roles, and expecting the development team to achieve set goals.

• Goal 4: Improve the Company's financial situation by delivering marketable products in a timelier manner.
