You should now have a better idea of what is involved in creating a good bind for your character. Although the concept of binding is not hard to understand, it can be challenging and time consuming to do well. If you proceed carefully through each step in the process, however, you should be able to create a decent bind for your character. Keep in mind that it can be acceptable, even if it is not perfect. Small imperfections that show up only infrequently can be fixed in the final renders by using rotoscoping methods to paint out the problems. This happens more often than most people realize, even in professional productions. In the next chapter, you finish working on your character's skin by focusing on how the face deforms. |
