Chapter 12 -- Business Continuity

Chapter 12

About This Chapter

As you have already seen in previous chapters, during migration, you will encounter circumstances that could cause complete or partial failure of the network or prevent users from logging on and hence, impact business processes. To recover quickly, good contingency planning is required. Throughout the book, recommendations have been made to keep your business processes running in the event of failures such as RRAS, file and folder replication, and so on. In this chapter, you will formally learn about potential trouble areas and look at how to circumvent problems that occur in order to keep the business running. You will at the very least learn how to reduce the failure's impact on the business.

Before You Begin

To complete this chapter you must have

  • A good understanding of the phases of the migration process.
  • Made plans for the migration itself.
