After all of this work, we're finally up to the moment you've been striving for since you first saw the scene you wanted to photograph. While you can perform amazing edits and adjustments on your images, your ultimate goal is to show them to someone else. These days, of course, that can mean prints, emails, webpages, discs full of files, and even high-quality softback and hardcover books.

Aperture can create all of these different types of output for you. However, although we've put this section near the end of the book, output is something that you can choose to do at any time during your workflow. As you've seen, you'll often create different types of output throughout your workflow as you create proofs for clients and work with a production team. Remember that with Aperture you can output images at any time without giving up any editing flexibility, and you can even continue to perform image adjustments while you prepare your webpages, books, and other forms of output.

In this lesson, we're going to take an in-depth look at Aperture output capabilities, starting with onscreen proofing.
