Answers

1.

Unlike the regular toolbar, the toolbar in Full Screen mode cannot be customized. However, you can hide it and access the tools using keyboard shortcuts.

2.

The filmstrip can be positioned as a floating panel in Full Screen mode, or docked to the side of the Full Screen interface. In addition, you can resize the filmstrip to show more or fewer thumbnail images. The smaller the filmstrip, the more room there is in the Viewer to display images.

3.

To adjust the luminance of an imageby making shadows darker for the stronger colors in an image, for exampleadjust the levels in the Adjustments HUD or Inspector. If increasing the black point makes skin tones too dark, you can return the glow to a subject's face by raising the midtone level in the Adjustments HUD.

4.

A vault in Aperture is an archive of your entire Library. A vault includes all your original images, all the versions you create, and image metadata. It preserves the structure of your Projects panel, including all projects, albums, folders, web galleries, web journals, books and Light Tables.
