INTRODUCTION
When adding text to your table, you might notice either too much or too little space between the table's lines and the text. Word enables you to easily change the row height and column width to minimize or maximize space.
TIP
Distributing Evenly
If you want to distribute the columns (or rows) evenly, select the entire table, right-click, and select Distribute Columns Evenly (or Distribute Rows Evenly).
TIP
Altering Multiple Items
In addition to changing the height and width of a single row or column, you can select multiple items; the formatting you then apply is used for all the items.
