INTRODUCTION

Print Preview enables you to see document pages onscreen as they will appear printed on paper, displaying page numbers, headers, footers, fonts, font sizes and styles, orientation, and margins. Previewing your document is a great way to catch formatting errors such as incorrect margins. You also save paper and time by previewing your documents before you print. You can even zoom in on a document with the mouse pointer. When it becomes a magnifying glass with a minus sign ( ), click in the document to zoom in; when it becomes a plus sign (+), it zooms out. Press the Page Up and Page Down keys on your keyboard, or click the up and down scrollbar arrows to navigate through your document.

TIP

Editing in Print Preview

You don't need to go back to Normal or Print Layout view to fix typos. Click the Magnifier button on the Print Preview toolbar to stop magnifying the document; then click in the previewed document and make your edits.
