Part 15. Advanced Office and Web Features

Throughout this book, you have learned about features in Office that help you accomplish tasks and make your work easier. This final part takes you a step further so that you can copy and link with other documents, import and export, and even automate repetitive tasks with macros.

Numerous Office features can make working with the Internet and the Web easier and more convenient. This part covers general Office Web features, which can be used in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. We even show you how to get Outlook into the act.

You can view your Office documents in a browser to see how they will look if you put them on a Web page. You will learn how to save a Web page as an Office document and open it in an Office application. You can add URLs and all kinds of hyperlinks to your documents. In addition, you can edit, assign ScreenTips to, and remove hyperlinks using the Hyperlink dialog box. You can even add email hyperlinks and send your documents as email messages. If you aren't sure what all these things are, keep reading and working through the tasks.

To use the Web and Internet features in Office, you need to have access to the Internet. You might have an account with an online service, with a local Internet service provider (ISP), with a local cable company, or in a corporate setting where you have to log in to the network to gain Internet access. In any case, you should connect to the Internet to perform the tasks in this part.
