From any slide in the presentation, open the Format menu and select Slide Design. Or, select the Slide Design task page from the task pane drop-down list.
Scroll through the available slide designs and click the one you like.
The design is applied to all slides in the presentation that have not been previously assigned a specific design (and the text and objects remain intact).

To alter the look of individual slides, PowerPoint provides numerous design templates you can apply to your presentation. In addition to changing slide design while you work in a slide, you can set your slide design before you begin working.

Applying Slide Designs to Specific Slides
To apply a new slide design to specific slides in your presentation, press the Ctrl key while clicking each slide (in the Slides tab). When you move the mouse pointer over a slide design in the Slide Design Task pane, click the down arrow and select Apply to Selected Slides.
