You can add WAN routers to a VLAN, providing VLAN connectivity across a Frame Relay WAN (or the like), as illustrated in Figure 12-2.
In Figure 12-2, two geographically diverse sites share resources across a Frame Relay WAN. Workstations within the same VLAN can communicate with each other across the WAN via the Frame Relay routers attached to each VLAN switch.
