A quick weekend getaway. A winter vacation in warmer climes. A day at the amusement park.
Travel communicates a very precise message to employees: that they can directly benefit from their successes. As they are lying on the beach or cruising the frozen North, the message comes through loud and clear: you are enjoying the fruits of your labors. Now, go out and do it again. (Not to mention, travel also makes spouses very fond of the company.)
