JUST FOR THE FUN OF IT

On the surface, it may seem silly. It may appear frivolous. But having fun together actually pays big dividends in group cohesion.

We’ve heard of an international hotel that hosts an annual Thanksgiving event called “Bowling for Turkeys.” At this popular activity, employees at one location gather to knock down wine bottles using frozen, duct-tape-wrapped turkeys. Organizers admit it’s unorthodox, but it gets employees talking—and everyone enjoys it. In fact, they gobble it up! (Our editor rolled her eyes and groaned, too.)
