DONATE TO THEIR FAVORITE CHARITY

To honor an outstanding employee, make a contribution to her favorite charity. Some managers get this messed up and make a contribution to the company’s favorite charity, or worse yet, their favorite. But recognition isn’t about you. A personal charitable reward should benefit a cause about which the employee feels passionately.
