Saving Drawing Images Created in PowerPoint

Perhaps by now you're beginning to believe that you have some artistic ability. In Chapter 6 I told you how to save images as separate graphic image files, but you might have skipped over it, thinking your work just wasn't worth it. If you've changed your mind, I suggest you go back to Chapter 6 and review the procedures outlined there.

The Absolute Minimum

Drawing objects can help you emphasize, draw attention to, or clarify text or other images on a PowerPoint slide. Learning to create drawing objects can take some time, but your investment in time will pay huge dividends. In this chapter, you did the following:

  • You learned how to use the Drawing toolbar to create various lines and shapes.

  • You found out how to insert AutoShapes.

  • You learned how to change a drawing's borders and fills and how to add shadows and 3-D effects.

  • You explored the use of gradient shading.

  • You discovered how easily you can create fancy words or titles using WordArt.

  • You learned how to group and save drawings.

Chapter 8, "Organizing Information by Using Tables," focuses on tables, which offer an easy and useful way to organize and present detailed information.
