Preparation

From the CD, copy the folder named project1 to your computer.

On your computer, create a folder called mywork1 or something similar in which to save your work.

From the project1 folder, open the template templt1.

In your new mywork1 folder, re-save the template as myproj1 or something similar.
Before you start, have a listen to project1/1.3 and view the score (Figure P1.1). This will help those of you still developing your music reading skills to get the gist of it.
