Today you learned how to create and manage connections and transactions using both the SqlClient and OleDb providers. Along the way, you learned how to handle connection events, specify and store connection strings, and manage both local and distributed transactions.
Now that you're intimately familiar with connections and transactions, you can begin to use the connections to execute commands against a data store. Tomorrow you'll take a look at how the command objects work, particularly how to specify and execute commands.
