Jeff Lawrence

Jeff Lawrence is President & CEO of Clivia Systems (www.cliviasystems.com), former CTO of Intel's Network Communications Group, and co-founder and former President and CEO of Trillium Digital Systems. Trillium was a leading provider of communications software solutions to communications equipment manufacturers building the converged wireless, Internet, broadband, and telephone infrastructure. Trillium licensed its source code software solutions to more than 300 companies throughout the world for use in a wide range of telecommunications products. Trillium's solutions consisted of software products and services for data, voice, and high availability. Lawrence, along with his team, built Trillium from two people, zero products, zero revenue, and $1,000 initially invested capital at its founding in February 1988 to more than 250 people, more than 100 products consisting of millions of lines of source code, $30 million annual revenue, and acquisition by Intel in August 2000 for $300 million. Jeff led, built, motivated, and grew a team having a unique and deep understanding of the communications software industry and having a culture and commitment to the customer and success during a period of continual and rapid change in the technology, market, competitive, and financial environment.

Lawrence is also Trustee of The Lawrence Foundation (www.thelawrencefoundation.org), a family foundation focused on grant making to environmental, education, health, and human services causes. He has a B.S.E.E. from UCLA, was co-recipient of the Greater Los Angeles Entrepreneur of the Year award, and recipient of the UCLA School of Engineering's Professional Achievement award. Jeff also writes and speaks on technology, entrepreneurship, philanthropy, economics, and ethics.
