Replace

Replaces files in the destination directory with files that have the same name.

 replace [drive1:][path1] filename [drive2:][path2] [/a] [/p] [/r] [/w replace [drive1:][path1] filename [drive2:][path2] [/p] [/r] [/s] [/w] [/u]

Parameters

Parameter	Purpose

`[drive1:][path1] filename`	Specifies the drive, path, and file name of the source files.
`[drive2:][path2]`	Specifies the drive and path of the destination files.
`[/a]`	Adds files to the destination folder.
`[/p]`	Prompts for confirmation before a replacement is allowed.
`[/r]`	Permits the replacement of read-only files.
`[/w]`	Waits for you to insert a disk before beginning to look for the source files.
`[/s]`	Searches all subfolders in the destination folder and replaces matching files.
`[/u]`	Replaces files in the destination folder only if they are older than the files in the source folder.
