Chapter 15. Create Web Parts Using Your Existing Code
The purpose of this Web Part is to present users' information from Active Directory through your SharePoint dashboard. This example demonstrates how you can connect and retrieve data stored in an active directory. Figure 15.12 shows the final form of the Active Directory Lookup Web Part in the SharePoint Server interface.

This Web Part basically follows the same concepts that I described for creating the Employee Locator Web Part. The only difference is that we are getting users' data from the Active Directory.
