OneNote is one of the newest members of the Microsoft Office 2003 System. As the name implies, the Office System is designed to be a suite of products that work together to enhance productivity. As a new product, OneNote is missing much of the integration present in other Office programs. For instance, there's no built-in way to save OneNote files as Microsoft Word documents, or insert an embedded object into OneNote such as an Excel spreadsheet control. This chapter will cover the limited built-in Office 2003 integration as well as show you some of the workarounds you can use to add some integration of your own. Even though there's no built-in way to convert OneNote files to Word documents, that doesn't mean it can't be done. It's actually relatively simple. We'll cover integration with Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. |
