Touring the Logging Tool

The Logging Tool, though daunting when you first see it, is in fact easy to use and a powerful tool to exploit. However, you need to be aware of many submenus and various naming conventions to get the most out of this tool.

To open the Logging Tool

1.	Open the Logging Tool by clicking the Logging Tool button or by pressing F6 (Figure 2.7). Figure 2.7. The Logging Tool.
2.	Enter a unique name for the tape with which you are working.
3.	Click the check mark in Figure 2.7 to display the complete Logging Tool (Figure 2.8). Figure 2.8. The Logging Tool open for business. Each of the components are described in the pages that follow.
