Summary

This chapter has a main objective and a supporting objective. The main objective is to acquaint you with the ADOX object model.

The supporting objective demonstrates how to populate tables with values from values outside of the current Access project. A major reason for creating tables is to populate them with values. These values often are from sources other than the current Access project. In particular, the code samples illustrate how to add values to Access tables in the current project from an Excel workbook, another Access database, an ODBC source, and a text file. In each case, the samples enable your solutions to update the data in Access and to modify the original source as well.
