What Is snAppShot?

The first step in using the snAppShot utility is to understand what it is. The snAppShot utility is an application used to create before and after images of a model workstation when installing or upgrading an application. So in effect, snAppShot takes a picture of the workstation before an application is installed or upgraded to it, and another picture after the application has been fully installed or upgraded.

Once snAppShot has the two pictures, it can then discern the differences between the two pictures. It saves the differences and can use them later to upgrade or install applications to other workstations on the network.
