Summary

Summary

Deploying an IAS-based RADIUS infrastructure for a wireless public place deployment consists of configuring RADIUS components at the WISP, the service provider, and the private organization. At the WISP, IAS RADIUS proxies are configured with RADIUS clients (the wireless APs) and with a set of connection request policies to provide unauthenticated access and to forward RADIUS traffic to RADIUS components at each service provider and private organization. At the service provider, IAS RADIUS servers provide authentication and authorization of wireless client access for the WISP. At the private organization, you can use either IAS RADIUS servers or IAS RADIUS proxies in your perimeter network. IAS RADIUS proxies in the perimeter network forward the RADIUS messages from the WISP to IAS RADIUS servers in the intranet.
