It’s easy to see why music and sound effects are so important to the development of a game. They can add so much to the experience of a gameplayer by setting a mood or location. Well thought out music and sound effects go hand in hand with the eye candy that so many developers focus upon. It has become an integral part of the game development process.
In this chapter, we used two of the best tools available for game developers: ACID, with its easy-to-use interface to create a very simple song, and Audition to record and edit sound effects for games. In the next chapter, we’ll look at creating 3D models in MilkShape 3D.
