• All dialog boxes should have title bars.

• Use verbs in function dialog title bars.

• Use object names in property dialog title bars.

• Dialogs should be as small as possible, but no smaller.

• Offer OK and Cancel buttons on all modal dialog boxes.

• Never use terminating command words in dialog text.

• Don't put close boxes on modal dialogs.

• Put terminating buttons on the untabbed area of a tabbed dialog.

• Don't stack tabs.
