Getting Weather Conditions

You can use Google SMS to get the latest weather conditions and four-day forecast for a particular location within the United States. Simply send an SMS text message to Google with the word weather (or weather:) followed by your location. The location can be entered as a ZIP code or city and state combination. You can use these formats:

• weather 47408

• weather kurtistown hi

Tip 

Use the shortcut “W” or “WX” rather than typing the word weather to find the weather conditions in a particular location.

The results shown in Figure 29.4 include the following information:

• Location name

• Current temperature measured in Fahrenheit

• Visibility

• Humidity

• Four-day forecast including temperature range and chance of precipitation
