Video File Doesn't Stream

graphics/troubleshooting_icon.jpg

I inserted a video file to my Web site and it doesn't "stream the content" it makes the user download the entire file first.

On a Web server, files are first downloaded and then implemented by default. In order to stream video (or audio) content, you'll need a Web server capable of providing this service. See your streaming content server directions for details on how to implement a streaming download.

Video File Doesn't Play

I inserted a video file to my Web site, and it looks great on my system. A friend tried to view the video file and said that she wasn't able to do so. What do I do?

Each video file requires a different player to view the file type. If your friend doesn't have the appropriate media viewer installed, she will not be able to view the movie.

Make mention of the viewing or listening software requirements for any media you might place on a Web page. Offer links to the download sites for the players to make it as easy as possible for your audience to view your content.
