My Choices Aren't Showing Up

I set specific hyperlink coloring preferences on several pages in my site through the Page Properties dialog box, and they aren't being reflected when I view the content. I'm using the latest version of Windows and Internet Explorer, so I know that isn't the problem.

Many browsers (including Internet Explorer) allow the user to set how hyperlinks are presented when viewing a Web page. If the browser is set to present hyperlinks a certain way, it will override whatever was placed in the HTML.

Included Content Page Properties Don't Work

I set some specific page properties for some included content in my site, and the content is not reflecting my selection.

Content added to a page through an included content Web component won't take any of the style formatting data from the original source. Included content conforms to the styles set for the page in which the content is placed. There is no way around this.

My Edits Aren't There

I made some changes and am looking at them in the browser. They don't appear; what's wrong?

If you haven't saved you most recent changes to the page, FrontPage won't be able to read them from the file. Save the page you made the changes to and select Refresh in your browser. Your new content will appear then.

where Did the Fonts Go?

I was looking at my Web site on another browser on another computer, and my font choices weren't reflected on the page.

If the browser you are viewing the site content on doesn't have the font choices you selected for your page, the browser will not be able to present the content in those fonts. Unlike other documents that can transfer fonts in the file type (Word, PDF, and so on), there is no way to embed a font in to a Web page.

As a result, if multiple fonts are necessary, it is a good idea to use standard fonts found on most computer systems.
