Chapter 12.  Case Study: Deploying a Web Service Using JAX

The case study will be developed in the following stages.

  1. Bring up the Tomcat Web server and the Xindice database. This will ensure that the JWSDP Registry Server is up and running.

  2. Write code for the applications that will register the information about the four suppliers into the registry.

  3. Create the Web services for the four suppliers and host them on the Tomcat Web server.

  4. Create the J2SE application that queries the registry, executes the Web services, parses the received XML data, and then displays the required content.
