A Final Word on SkinStudio Skins

Creating a skin takes time and patience. Downloading and then applying some of the skins provided on www.customize.com (the skin library site for WindowBlinds) enables you to see what other skin authors have created. It is a great way to get ideas and see that creating a new, complex skin is a lot of work.

WinCustomize.com also provides profiles of some of its skin author members. You can learn about each author and also view the author's personal page (see Figure 9.15). It provides a list of skins the author has created and any skinning awards she has received.

More importantly, you can view the skins that they have created. Figure 9.16 shows a custom skin created by I. R. Braniac (the author's winCustomize nickname).

Creating skins is supposed to be fun, so don't overthink the process. The more you use SkinStudio, the more comfortable you will become with its interface and tools. Just let your creativity take hold, and skin away!
