Acknowledgments

I would like to acknowledge a few people here in the order that they participated from before this title was even a dream until I penned my last sentence. First, the New Riders gang, starting with Theresa Gheen, whose moment of temporary insanity or sheer brilliance (still to be determined) thought that a goofball like me could write a book. Deb Hittel-Shoaf, whose belief that I shouldn't write a good book, but that I must find the great book inside of me led us through a three-month journey of refinement for which I am grateful. John Rahm, who, without him even knowing it, was my conscience, defining where the line between fun and idiocy lie. More than once I found myself consulting with him in my mind ("Will John think that's stupid…Nah!). I would look at his picture on the New Riders website, and then nothing seemed too far-out. To all of you at New Riders who I know by name and those who I've never met but made this possible. Thanks.

To Mark Ahern and Steve Heckler for keeping me on the straight and narrow road and making me look smarter than I am by letting me borrow from their intelligence. For all the mistakes you will never see, I must thank them. Thanks, guys!

I must acknowledge my right-hand man, Jay Oliver, here at Nexus Media. Jason is an extraordinary man who continually keeps me thinking one step ahead otherwise, he'd leave me in the dust. He is someone who I can always go to whenever I need an honest and sound opinion. If anyone can sniff out a flaw in your coding or your thinking, it's him; and he is hardly embarrassed about letting you know. A co-worker who I most definitely consider a treasured friend.

Then, not to sound like a broken record, I must thank my wife and family for putting up with the absurd, ridiculous, unending, limitless, and all-consuming nature of writing a book. They are an unending flow of inspiration and support. Without them I never could have done it.
