Class Browser

The Class Browser is used to create and assemble Beans. It consists of five views, or pages.

  • Methods. This page is used for coding Java methods in the class being browsed.

  • Hierarchy. This page is used to edit Java code and the class declarations of superclasses.

  • Editions. This page is used when you want to compare and replace different editions of the class and its method.

  • Visual Composition Editor. This page is used to build user interfaces. Project developers spend most of their time with this page.

  • BeanInfo. This page is used to create and view the events, methods, and properties of a Bean.

Figure 3.5 shows the five pages of the Class Browser.
