Now that you have an idea of how Java programs can be used with SAP through the BOR (Business Object Repository), you will probably see the need to write some of your own custom BAPIs. For example, you might want to access a customer-developed package within SAP or set up functions that SAP has not yet created. For this chapter, we assume that the object you want to work with is already in the BOR and that all you need to do is add a method (BAPI) to it. If you have gone through the initial Java chapters, you have a good understanding of the basics of object-oriented programming, and with this knowledge you should find that the creation of objects with the BOR is quite simple.
