The GroupWise Monitor Components

The GroupWise Monitor software has two separate components. They are the GroupWise Monitor Agent and the GroupWise Monitor Application. Here are some details about both of these components.

GroupWise Monitor Agent:

• Runs on the Windows or Linux platform.

• Provides most of the features of GroupWise Monitor Application, except it does not support HDML (handheld device markup language for wireless telephones, typically) and simple HTML support.

GroupWise Monitor Application:

• Runs on any web server that supports the GroupWise WebAccess Application (the Monitor Application is normally installed on the same server as the WebAccess Application).

• Works only in conjunction with the GroupWise Monitor Agent.

• Provides HDML and simple HTML template support for the GroupWise Monitor Agent.

• Can act as a proxy server to access the HTTP information from each GroupWise agent.

The GroupWise Monitor Application cannot exist without the GroupWise Monitor Agent. The GroupWise Monitor Agent has no dependencies on the GroupWise Monitor Application.
