There's a saying that salespeople don't begin selling until they hear their first "no." If that's the case, debugging is where programming begins. In any event, debugging is as important as any part of programming.
This chapter has shown that debugging is more than just fixing bugs. It's also about finding ways to avoid bugs in the first place. It's identifying bugs clearly, approaching the process efficiently , and even classifying the importance of bugs . I can't say that I like debugging, but the relief I feel having addressed a bug is worth the stress involved hunting it down.
