If you use your Mac's DVD Player mostly for educational purposes (like watching Photoshop training DVDs from PhotoshopVideos .com, hint, hint), you probably want to be able to jump back and forth between the DVD and whichever application you're learning, so you can watch a technique and then try it yourself. If that's the case, you can configure your DVD Player so it doesn't go "full screen" but instead displays the video in a floating window, so you can easily jump back and forth between it and any open applications. To set up this mode as the default, go under the DVD Player menu, choose Preferences, click on the Player icon, and where it says When DVD Player Opens, turn off the checkbox for Enter Full Screen Mode (it's on by default). Then the next time you insert a training DVD, it will appear in a floating window. |
