HOW TO HIDE THE PATH AROUND YOUR SHAPE

When you're using the Shape tool, by default it creates a Shape layer (and there are a number of reasons why you might want that) with a path around the shape. Most of the time, you don't need to see the path border around your shape (unless, of course, you want to edit that border), so to hide it from view, press Shift-Command-H (PC: Shift-Control-H).
