seconds-from-time /dateTime

This entry covers two related functions: seconds-from-dateTime() and seconds-from-time() .

These functions extract the seconds component from an xs:time or xs:dateTime value, as a decimal value usually in the range 0 to 59.999..., unless leap seconds appear.

The value from which the seconds component is to be extracted. The data type of the supplied argument must correspond to the data type implied by the function name

The seconds component of the time, including fractional seconds
