How can a personal computer or a high-end workstation even be considered a thin-client device? Well, such computers are not necessarily dedicated thin-client/server hardware devices, but they can certainly run thin-client/server software such as the ICA client. You re probably familiar with these devices. They might include (but are not limited to) the following specifications:

  • Intel Pentium CPU (or equivalent)

  • 16 MB of RAM

  • 1-GB hard drive

  • 3.5-inch disk drive

  • CD-ROM drive

  • Sound card

  • Network card

  • Modem

  • Monitor

  • Operating system consisting of Microsoft Windows NT Workstation, Windows 95, Windows 3.x, or MS-DOS
