Using the AvantGo Module

Users who want to access the AvantGo module need to configure their AvantGo profile to use the URL http://www.scriptinganswers.com/cms2/modules.php?name=AvantGo. Obviously, you'll substitute your own site name in this URL; the important part is the modules.php?name=AvantGo part, and please note that it is case sensitive. modules.php?name=avantgo will not work properly.

AvantGo currently refers to these customized subscriptions as personal channels. Figure 11.4 shows AvantGo's configuration screen, which is what your site's users will see if they want to add your site to their AvantGo profile. Even if you're not an AvantGo user, it's useful to know how this works so that you can help your users figure it out, if need be.
