Day-to-Day Errors

I don't mean to imply that PHP-Nuke has a lot of daily errors! But these errors are more common in the normal course of things rather than specifically during installation or just afterward. Most commonly, errors occur because of database corruption, in which case the best solution is to restore your database (or a single table) from backup, a task I discussed in Topic 43, "Backing Up Your Site and Database." You do make regular backups, right?

For other errors, your best bet is probably to search the forums at www.phpnuke.org. Odds are, someone else had the problem and has fixed it, and you can take advantage of their brilliance. Or, if nobody seems to have run into your special issue, post a new message and ask for help. But please look for the solution before posting; folks on Forums get understandably irritated when they're asked to answer the same question ten times for ten different people just because they're all too lazy to go looking for the answer.
