DB2 for zSeries Considerations

The Development Center can be obtained by ordering the DB2 Management Clients Package, a non-priced feature of DB2 for zSeries that is ordered separately. This package also includes DB2 Connect software that allows a DB2 LUW client to connect to DB2 for zSeries. If you have DB2 LUW Enterprise Server Edition (which comes with DB2 Connect capability) or have installed DB2 Connect software separately, you may not need to order the DB2 Management Clients Package to obtain the Development Center. Simply download the free DB2 LUW Application Development Client as mentioned in previous sections, and with DB2 Connect you will be able to connect to DB2 for zSeries.
