Back To The Table...

Back To The Table

Now that Jane has defined the format of the various presentations, it is time to add this information to the messages table. Jane developed a code to represent the various presentations to be created and the style of each presentation:

Code

Meaning

G

General information for everyone in the project

S

Speaker-led presentation with information for a specific audience

T

Training for a specific audience (in Jane's case, the teens and the supervisors)

A

Automatic presentations used to generate interest and provide information to the homebound

To integrate this information into the message chart, Jane replaced each "x" in the original message table with one or more of the above codes.

Creation of this table shows Jane she needs to create one large speaker-led general information presentation, a couple of targeted speaker-led presentations, a couple of automated presentations and two training presentations.

Tip 5: Number of Presentations

If you are careful when you create your message and audience table, decisions about the number of presentations should be fairly easy.

Usually, you find the only presentation you need to add at this point is a general information presentation. Develop this presentation first and use it as a basis for all the other presentations.
