Task permissions are required for the user ID that you use during the installation and verification process.
WSAA installation will need for the HFS paths allocated with UID=0 or permitted to the BPX.SUPERUSER facility class.
To configure HTTP Server and Net.Data, you must edit the following files:
For HTTP Server:
/etc/httpd.conf
For Net.Data:
/usr/lpp/internet/server_root/pub/db2www.ini
The WebSphere Application Server V4.0 simple configuration option requires changes to the was.conf file as described in the program directory.
The WSAA administrative user ID and password used on the OS/390 system where WSAA is installed requires authority to write a temporary directory to the HFS with permission bits 777.
IBM provides examples, which can be used as guides for the changes and customization of HTTP, WebSphere Application Server, and Net.Data configuration files, in the /bin directory of the WSAA HFS file system.
Note | DMH is the three-character program name prefix IBM uses for WSAA. |
The default directory for WSAA is:
/usr/lpp/dmh/bin/
A sample of changes required to the WebSphere Application Server V4 httpd.conf file is located in:
Dmh_httpd.conf
A sample of changes required for the WebSphere Application Server V4 plug-in configuration is located in:
Dmh_was.conf
Most of the changes relate to service directives and the inclusion of default user ID information in order to invoke the administration services of the product.
