1.

An Alpha version means that the program is still in the development stage and that bugs can be expected. Sections of the code may not be written or entirely completed.

2.

MySQL Administrator is aimed at administering database functions and design. MySQLCC does some administration, but it also allows you to edit, delete, and add to the contents of a database, as well as adjust its format.

3.

The Hot Key link in the Control Center dropdown menu or Toolbar button gives access to the Hot Key Editor where existing Hot Keys can be altered or new Hot Keys defined.

4.

The toolbar buttons change to reflect functions that relate to that particular selection.

5.

The recommended buffer size is 25 percent of your system s available RAM.

6.

MySQL Administrator allows you to start and stop the server by pressing a button.

7.

The four areas you can monitor in the Health section of MySQL Administrator are Connection Health, Memory Health, Status Variables, and System Variables.

8.

The Log Files tab of the Startup Variables section in MySQL Administrator allows you to set up Binary, Query, Error, Slow Queries, Update, and ISAM log files.

9.

Selecting a database or table from the Console Manager listing changes the main console window to reflect data pertaining to your selection?

10.

Choosing a server, database, or table in the Console Manager listing can cause buttons to appear or disappear from the toolbar, depending on whether or not they pertain to the selected item.
