Creating a Contact Sheet


In traditional photography, a contact sheet is a sheet of thumbnail- size images that enables you to view images from more than one negative. Photoshop CS allows you to create a contact sheet from your digital images. Before you create a contact sheet, it's a good idea to place all of the photos that you want to appear on the sheet into a specific folder on your computer.

  1. Click on File . The file menu will appear.

  2. Click on Automate . A submenu of different options will appear.

  3. Click on Contact Sheet II . The Contact Sheet II dialog box will appear, where you can set the options for your Contact Sheet.

  4. Click on the Browse button to select the folder containing the images that will appear on the contact sheet.

  5. Click on the + beside a folder to view any subfolders .

  6. Click on the folder that contains the images to be displayed on the contact sheet.

  7. Click on OK . The folder will be selected.

  8. Adjust the settings for the Document and Thumbnail options.

  9. Click on OK . The contact sheet will be created.
